Leave “Open as Web App” switched on if you see it.

Chrome, Edge or Firefox
Tap the Share button
In Chrome it is in the address bar. In Edge and Firefox open the menu first, then tap Share.
Tap “Add to Home Screen”
Tap “More” or scroll down if it is not in the first row. Needs iOS 16.4 or later.
Tap “Add”

Click the install icon in the address bar
At the right end of the address bar. No icon? Open the ⋮ menu, then “Cast, save and share” → “Install page as app”.
Click “Install”

It opens in its own window. Pin it to your Dock or taskbar to keep it one click away.
Edge
Open the three-dots menu
